Students during rally

I’m excited to share the many great things happening at Mountain View High School. It’s an honor to continue serving as principal in such a vibrant and supportive community. Our commitment to providing an outstanding education to every student remains at the heart of all we do.

At Mountain View, our mission is to be a model school of excellence, and we are committed to being unstoppable in this pursuit. Last year, we proudly earned certification as a High-Reliability School (HRS) at Level 1, recognizing our safe, supportive, and collaborative environment. This year, we are focused on reaching the next level by achieving certification in HRS Level 2, which emphasizes effective teaching in every classroom. Our dedication to continuous improvement ensures that we provide the best possible learning experience for all of our students.

Mountain View offers 18 AP courses, along with expanded Dual Enrollment opportunities, thanks to our partnerships with Pima Community College and the University of Arizona. This year, we are proud to support and encourage our students as they work toward earning prestigious diploma seals from the Arizona Department of Education. These seals, which recognize excellence in areas such as biliteracy, personal finance, and civic engagement, provide students with valuable opportunities to showcase their skills and achievements.

Our Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs also continue to thrive, offering certifications in Automotive, Sports Medicine, Culinary, Early Childhood, and more. We’re proud to provide students with the skills they need for success after graduation, guided by our motto, “Every scholar needs a skill.”

The Fine Arts department remains a highlight, with students excelling in band, dance, orchestra, and theater. In athletics, we celebrate achievements across Softball, Wrestling, Volleyball, and Cross Country, and are thrilled to start our competitive venture in E-sports.

At Mountain View, excellence is our tradition. We are proud of our students, grateful for our community, and committed to the values of safety, respect, responsibility, and kindness.
