This year, Graduation for Mountain View High School will be hosted on May 22, 2025 at the Tucson Convention Center at 4:00 pm. We are sharing important information to help ensure the event is as smooth as possible for graduating seniors, families, and guests.

Doors open at 2:30 pm, Guest Seating requires a ticket and seats are available on a first come first serve basis. All tickets are considered general admission. All guest must have a ticket to attend with the exception of those 2 and under, who will not require a ticket, but they must sit on a lap and not take an additional seat. Our goal is that we fill every seat in the arena.

Transportation and Parking: Make time to find a place to park!

Families may take MUSD-provided transportation to and from TCC (must complete survey by May 14) or they can transport themselves. Families commuting to TCC will need to find parking. We encourage families to leave plenty of time to find a spot. There are several events scheduled at TCC that day, and we encourage you to be prepared to park outside of their venue.

TCC is located at 260 S Church Ave, Tucson, Arizona 85701.

TCC Parking

There is pay-for-parking located at the TCC, however, we are told that space is extremely limited due to other events scheduled that day. Be prepared to find alternative parking. Only CREDIT/DEBIT is accepted. CASH payment is NOT accepted. On site parking is available in the following areas:

  • Parking in Lot B is accessible via Granada or Cushing St

What time do families traveling by MUSD Transportation to and from Graduation need to arrive at MVHS? How do I confirm I have seats reserved for my family on the MUSD buses?

Families with reserved seats to travel by MUSD transportation to and from the TCC MUST check-in by 1:30 pm and load for an on-time departure. Be on time, buses cannot wait if you are running late. See Ms. LaPeruta or Ms. DeSantis  to confirm family reserve seats for the bus.

What is the process after the ceremony?

  • After the completion of the ceremony, families and graduates traveling by MUSD Transportation need to report to the bus pick-up area by 5:45 pm (approximately 30 minutes following the end of the ceremony).

Students will exit the arena floor to meet their families outside the Arena.

Can the graduate have their cell phone with them?

  • Yes, the graduates may keep their cell phones on them, but should silence it during the ceremony.

How many tickets are allotted per graduate? Are tickets given out per household? Will MVHS hold tickets for a parent in a split household pick-up separately?

  • Tickets are per graduate not per household/per parent. Each graduate is allotted to receive 14 tickets for their invited guests (family/friends). Tickets will only be given to graduates to bring home and distribute. How tickets are distributed with-in households/families is not decided by MVHS.

How and when will we receive our tickets?

  • Tickets are distributed to the Graduates, at the end of the mandatory graduation rehearsal on Wed. May 21st. Each graduate will receive a sealed ticket envelope with their name on it. It is the graduate’s responsibility to keep their envelope in a safe place and to take it home to parents/guardians. We recommend they do not open the envelope, to avoid losing tickets out of envelope. Every ticket envelope is verified before sealing. *Tickets are not replaceable, if lost, misplaced or if they are forgotten at home, no exceptions.

When will we know if we will get the additional tickets that were requested?

  • Unfortunately, we will not know exactly how many tickets we have available for extra tickets until our graduation survey requests are complete and we have finalized our grad list. Once we know how many  seniors will not be participating in the ceremony we will be able to redistribute those tickets. Any additional tickets, available, will be added to the graduate’s ticket envelope they will receive at the end of practice (Wed, May 21st).

Do siblings need tickets? Does an infant/toddler need a ticket?

  • All guests need a ticket with the exception of an infant/toddler 2 years old or younger and will be sitting on a lap, but if they are going to be sitting in a seat, they must have a ticket.

If we requested disability friendly seating, how will we know if we are reserved?

  • If you requested a disability friendly seat, you will receive a phone call to get the name of the guest needing the disability friendly seat with a companion seat, to confirm available seating. Once a seat is confirmed with the name of the person needing the disability seating, those tickets will be marked and in the Ticket Envelope distributed to the graduate at the end of practice. Note: These are not additional tickets, these are part of the 14 allotted per graduate.

What time can those with disability seating enter? How far away from family will the disability friendly seating put our family member?

  • Doors open at 2:30pm, all seating is first come, first serve, and the accessible seating with companion seats will have specific tickets to sit in those reserved seats, but the exact seat is not assigned. There are two locations for disability friendly seating, and we will need to fully fill both locations in the TCC Arena. There are seats available both on the arena floor (available only individual and one guest) and there are seats available throughout the top section of the arena that are built to accommodate wheelchairs and are embedded into general admission seating.

Where can we find the link for the livestream?

  • For family and friends who are not able to attend the MVHS Graduation Ceremony, it is available on Livestream. The link will be posted on the MVHS Graduation News Websitepage on the MVHS web page, a few hours prior to the start of the ceremony. Also, the MVHS Digital Graduation Program will also be available on this page.
