Meals & Menus
The Marana Unified School District Food Services Department operates 16 school kitchens within the District, offering breakfast and lunch on a daily basis during the school year. Each kitchen is staffed with a School Nutrition Association Certified Cafe Supervisor and several cafe workers.
The Department also operates year-round providing breakfast and lunch through the summer food program and Marana Cares Mobile. Each school Cafe Supervisor orders and prepares their own food directly at each school. Food Services operates with a staff of approximately 100 employees, serving on average over 1.6 million meals a year.
Free/Reduced Meals
Your child may be eligible to receive free or reduced-price school meals! One application can be used to list all children in the household.
The application process is annual and every household must complete a new application every year within the first 30 operating days of school. Completing the Free and Reduced Lunch application helps far beyond providing free or low-cost meals. This form ensures continued funding to support all students in our school with:
- Funding for programs like the 21st Century Community Learning afterschool programs
- Reduced fees for sports and activities
- Increased state and Federal funding for supplies, equipment and resources
- Tutoring and before-and-after school programs
- Funding and/or discounts for technology, internet access, wireless and network services
- Free or reduced-price school meals, and more!
